Professional Countertop Installation in Toronto
A countertop installation looks simple from the customer side — a slab arrives, it gets set in place, done. From the installer’s side, most of the job happens before the slab ever reaches the house. The wall gets checked. The cabinets get checked. The old countertop, if there is one, has to come out cleanly. And the piece being installed has to match a template that was taken weeks earlier, on a kitchen that may have shifted slightly since then.
Uni-Stone installs granite, quartz, marble, quartzite and porcelain countertops across Toronto and the GTA — for homeowners doing a kitchen or bathroom, and for designers, builders and other stone companies who need reliable installation on a schedule. Fabrication and installation happen under one roof, so there’s one team accountable for the whole result, not two handing off between each other.

What We Install
Every project below is fabricated and installed as one coordinated job — not a generic tile-setting service.

Full kitchen runs in granite, quartz, marble, quartzite or porcelain.

Including waterfall-edge islands with matched veining and mitred returns.

Slab or tile backsplashes coordinated with the countertop material.

Bathroom vanity tops, including integrated/undermount sink cutouts.

Precision cutouts fabricated to the exact fixture, not a generic template.

Reception desks, bars and commercial kitchen surfaces.
Materials We Work With
Every material behaves a little differently once it’s installed — worth knowing before the slab is cut.
Granite
A natural stone cut from quarried blocks — no two slabs are identical.
Handles heat well; benefits from sealing at installation and periodically after.
Quartz
An engineered material, manufactured for a consistent pattern and non-porous surface.
More heat-sensitive than natural stone — keep a trivet by the stove.
Marble
Chosen for its veining and character — softer than granite or quartz.
Will scratch, etch and patina over time with normal use.
Quartzite
A natural stone, harder and more scratch-resistant than marble.
A marble-like look with less day-to-day maintenance concern.
Porcelain
Large-format slabs, non-porous and heat resistant.
Can reduce or eliminate seams on a run that would otherwise need one.

What Homeowners, Designers & Builders Ask
How long does a countertop installation actually take once fabrication is done?
Most installations are completed within 1–2 days after the piece is fabricated and ready. The measurement and fabrication stages before that take longer — the on-site installation itself is the shorter part of the timeline.
Do you handle both fabrication and installation, or just one?
Both, depending on the project. Uni-Stone has in-house fabrication capability for many jobs. For some full-service projects, fabrication is completed through a fabrication partner while Uni-Stone manages the project and handles installation. If you already have a fabricated piece, we can also install it.
Can you install a countertop I bought or had fabricated somewhere else?
Yes — installation-only work for pieces fabricated elsewhere is a real part of what we do, including subcontract installation support for other stone companies and contractors. Send us the dimensions and material and we can tell you what’s involved.
Do you remove the old countertop?
Yes — removal of an existing countertop is normally handled as part of the job. Let us know what’s currently in place when you reach out so it can be scoped properly.
What needs to be ready before measurement?
Cabinets should be installed, level and secured — the countertop can’t be accurately templated on top of a cabinet problem. If a wood substrate or a waterfall panel is involved, that condition gets checked at the same time, since it can affect whether a crack-isolation membrane is needed underneath the stone.
Do you work with builders and designers?
Yes — a meaningful part of our work is coordinating directly with designers, builders and other stone companies on schedule, scope and site conditions, not just homeowner projects.
