Stone Stairs & Steps, Done Right
A stone staircase is one of the least forgiving installs there is. Every tread has to be the same height and depth as the one next to it, the nosing has to be consistent from step to step, and the stone has to be finished so it isn’t slippery once it’s in daily use — get any of that wrong and it shows immediately, because people walk on it every day.
We fabricate and install stone treads, risers, newel posts, balustrade details and full staircases in marble, granite and other natural stone, across Toronto and the GTA. Measurement matters more here than on almost any other part of a project — a stair that’s slightly out of level or has an inconsistent rise is something people notice with their feet, not just their eyes.
